My install suggestion is as follows - some may consider the process overkill, but in the past I fitted a spoiler to my IS200 and it flapped loose. I had to remove it, get off all old sticky tape on both boot lid and spoiler, re-apply blah blah blah - better to do things right 1st time!
Basically I thoroughly cleaned the area using TFR, clay bar and then the alcohol. The surface was mirror smooth when I was done. Then I placed the spoiler in position without removing backing tape - tried out different positions until I was happy. I then used masking tape to mark the corner positions on the boot. I then spread the adhesion promoter stuff over the area - it just dries up pretty quickly. Not sure if it made any difference. Next, I peeled back ~10cm of the backing tape from each end of the spoiler and then set the spoiler in place using my masking tape guidelines. Then I pulled at the already removed backing tape to remove the rest of it whilst spoiler was sat in place. Prob a good idea not to do this in extreme cold. Mine came out perfectly aligned, and is stuck on very well. |

5 days later and my lip spoiler has arrived.
First impressions are very good. The packaging is absoloutely fantastic and the finish on the paintwork looks to be spot on (and I am very particular) I haven't offered it up to the car to see the colour match yet because the car needs a wash. Once cleaned i'll get it offered up and post some pictures. |

Ordered mine last Tuesday evening, got it 9AM this morning Excellent service and no customs charges.
Amazing that I've had items take longer to get delivered from Royal Mail than to make several stops around the world and get here. |

came out to my car today after it being covered in the snow since thursday. was removing the snowed, and the weight of it had loosened the lip! only a small bit on one side hanging on, so taken it off. going to get some new tape and stick it on when i get a chance. had mine 1/4" inset like the m3 fitment, but may try flush with the edge this time to see if i like it more

I fitted mine just before the weekend and I have to say I am very impressed so far with fitment and colour match.
I did have a bit of a moment when whilst pulling the red tape away it snapped and I had to lift up part that had already stuck down. It does grab very quickly. It's on now though and I have mounted it near flush with the edge of the boot. No gaps and it looks spot on I think. I'll clean the car and get some photos on. |

I know you all seem happy with your spoilers from eBay but can anybody tell me whether the OEM one is really any different. Is it made of something more durable? Would a good body shop be able to do a better paint match than the guys who do these eBay ones?
Has anyone actually seen both to see if there is a difference in fitment/paint match and quality? |

Fitted mine today. Paint match is perfect for my silver. My paint is in good condition too. Will post pics when I move the car out. They look identical from a casual view to the m3 one. They are abs plastic so same as Oem I think. Just £200 cheaper. Doesn't need to be durable, it's a tiny lip spoiler
