BT Tool not detected

my BT tool wont "detect" my car. i know someone had this issue before and i searched but couldnt find the thread.

Do you mean the VIN decoder? I think you may have to select your model or the specific ECU from the list since they are not completely updated with regards to VINs. (I am just guessing though since I'm still waiting for my tool to arrive.) They are REALLY GOOD at responding to questions so you can just shoot them a question on their website form.

no its not the vin decoder. i talked to a friend last night that has one for his 135 and he said that u have the plug the OBD side in last. i was putting it in first. im gonna try again later today and see if that fixes it

In my experience, connecting the OBDII port 1st or the USB 1st does not matter. Did you connect the cable to USB port before opening the software? Make sure to do that. If it does not work, did you install the USB driver? Also try updating the BavTech software off their website. If all fails, contact BavTech support.
