Knob Rot

Just noticed this week that the metallic coating on the gear knob is coming off! It is difficult to see as the grey plastic below is of a similar hue. It is an automatic FFS and therefore not used much. Anyone else got this problem. Photo below just shows the two areas where the plastic beneath is showing. Another example of BMW cost cutting. My 9 year old Z3 has a proper metallic knob and is in perfect condition.

Mine is worn like that auto knob, wedding ring abrasion is probably the culprit I reckon.

Best not to get married!

Hmm me thinks you have been rubbing your knob expecting a genie to come out and grant you a wish (not to be screwed by your employer over choice of car maybe.....)

For the record my knob has become bigger than ever before after all those years of rubbing......

Ah, there is a wise man Steve. Never let a stranger sit on it else you will be in a sticky situation.

Shere - have you been clasified as a low or high user for the ritual corporate screwing? I am back to P11D next summer.

Man walks into his bedroom, wife on the bed reading, with a sheep under his arm. Says "This is the pig I have sex with when your not up for it". Wife says "I think you'll find that's a sheep", he says "I think you'll find I was talking to the sheep".
