E90 330i CD Player: Can't Insert Discs

My 2006 330i CD player doesn't accept CDs I try to insert. It somtimes reads CD error but I can't even get the CD inside the console as the motor isn't grabbing and wheeling in the CD. Any thoughts? Is there a way I can potentially restart the unit?

You can do a soft reset by holdin both eject buttons ad well as the volume button until the iDrive reboots.

I don't think this will help though...sound like you need a new HU

The car doesn't have idrive. Anyway to reset the audio unit?
