Start with the rated pressures for the car and see how you go - makes sense to start there as BMW spent a lot of time working them out!, my E91 is 2.5/2.9 bar f/r

I find the rated bar just right for my conti 3's as the sidewalls are quite firm and I've not had any issues with 'tyre roll' as with some lesser tyres. Whereas I had to run under the rated pressure with RFTs to try and save my teeth!

And yes, whenever you change your tyre pressures you should reset the TPMS via the idrive.

Yep mine are non RFT.

Are your tyre widths much different? Pressures are mainly related to tyre width and the contact patch versus vehicle weight.

My old E90 330i stated 2.2/2.4 - that was OK with RFT but much too soft with non rft (soft falkens)

The Tourer says 2.5/2.9 (medium load) and that was rock hard on RFTs but perfect with conti3 non RFTs

Start with the rated pressures for the 18" and see how it feels, then go up and down to see the changes - you've got to start somewhere.

Have you got the sizes the wrong way around?

Also where did you get your 265/30/19 Conti 3's from as I haven't been able to find them?

Thanks

Matt

Matt try http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/

They show 3 different conti 3 versions at that size, plus loads of other tyres.

I've used them many times, first class mobile fitters and balancers with next day service.
