Longer tread wear
What will last longer for normal daily driving...Continental DW or Hankook V12? Ive looked at the ratings, but have also read that you cant really compare tread ratings between different brands. Tires are for an e92 w/zsp. The DW will cost me $200 more because the V12 has $80 rebate right now. If the DW will last a good bit longer, it'll be worth the extra $200 for me to go ahead and get those but if they don't have a longer life obviously the V12 will get my vote. Thanks for any input!

I would not expect the DW to wear longer than the V12 EVO. The advantages of the Continental Extreme Contact DW over the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO are mostly in dry grip and a quieter ride.

My V12s are at 20000km and only about half way through their life. This compares to Michelin PS 2s that last a total of 20000km and I have not changed my driving style.
From both value and performance perspectives, I'm extremely satisfied with my experiences with Hankook tires. They are not as grippy on the absolute edge as the PS 2s, but they are more than enough for 99% of the driving I do. As for road noise, I think they are overall very good. They start out louder than the PS 2s, but the noise has not increased substantially (yet) whereas halfway through my PS 2s, the tire noise was becoming intrusive on the highway. |

Best value for a good choice IMO. On my second set.
