8mm Spacer Question

Need a quick answer...

I currently have a 10mm spacer and need a little more clearance. Therefore, an 8mm should do the trick.

Onto the question...

Does the 8mm have an extended hub ring like the 10mm+ spacers or is it completely flat like the 5mm- spacers?

If you have an 8mm spacer, please answer WITH brand information.

Thanks in advance!

The H&R 8mm do have the lip, their 5mm and 3mm are flat.

Thanks for the reply. I just checked your website. 8mm isn't listed. Do you have them? If so, how much for a pair shipped to 95648?

I've got an extra set of 8mm H&R spacer, new in box (never installed). Shipped for $60?

I don't recall H&R 8mm spacers having hub centric lips though.

That works. Can you first check on the hubcentric ring? pic wouldn't hurt either. I I want to use them on the rear but the hub isn't that thick at all. I have 10's right it rubs just a teeny bit.

In the mean time, can you pop the box open and check for the lip? More concerned about that than the pics.

I will do so when I get home. However, I have only ever seen one brand of 8mm spacer with hub lips and that's Rogue Engineering's spacer. And I believe they discontinued it because there's not enough material there to make any sort of lip with moderate strength to keep the hub centric lip feature and they had some problems with the lip cracking/splitting due to some improper installation.

If the hub centric lip is a must, I also have a set of Turner Motorsports 8mm spacers with hub extenders. The hub extenders were never used, but the 8mm spacers were fitted once to check clearance. I can sell you the H&R (never installed) plus the hub extenders together for $90. Also I think with 8mm spacers you'll need extended lug bolts or stud conversion.

Thanks Hack. Excellent information. All things being equal, I would like some form of hub for my wheels. What I need to do is remove my rear wheel and measure how far the hub protudes past the rotor. If its at least 10mm then the 8mm spacers without lip will be fine. BTW, I already have +10mm lug bolts so no need for those.

I'll be home tomorrow afternoon at which point I'll check my rear hubs. As of now, I'm 99% going to buy your spacers.

Confirmed. Hubs stick out about 12mm. Therefore, I'll take your 8mm spacers.

I thought 10mm was the thinnest spacers with hubcentric lip.

I don't know 100% either way as I have yet to see an 8m spacer.

Sorry about that, I've been in and out of meetings the last two days.

Just double checked the box and the part number:

1075725 C

Turns out these are 5mm instead of 8mm. Sorry. The Turner spacers I have (used once) are the 8mm spacers.

How much for the Turner spacers? With and without the extender?

PS, do you have PM ability turned off? I've never experienced being unable to send a PM,

I have it turned off.

The turner spacers (with extension) can be yours for $60. I used it once though (sans the hub extenders).

Huh. Don't know how I found this.

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html..._ID=TWH9905003

It appears Turner does not list this as a "fit" for the E9X, however based on what I know there's no difference in design of the hub to require a different fitment between E46 and E9X.

Would these fit on my 328i front? Did it fit on yours?

I still don't see how E9X front hub being SO different from 3 series front hub from the last 20 years that anything that would work for an E36 and later won't work for an E9X. I think Turner just failed to list the E9X applications, that's all.

I bought them for my MZ4 Coupe.

Did you end up selling those 8mm's with hub extenders + lugs? If not let me take it off you! I want to try it out.
