driver's side door creak - so annoying
Hey all - I know there must be some threads on this so please steer me in the right direction if you can - my 2010 328i (30k miles) driver's side door has started creaking badly - nothing obviously loose and the sound appears to be coming from inside the door. Interestingly, the creak settlers down a bit after driving but it is so frigging annoying. Just been one little niggly thing after another with this car but trying to stay positive - car still under warranty and I'm assuming this is a known problem. Any help most appreciated.
Cheers, Dave |

did you simply try greasing the hinges ? that's the only moving part (aside from the door check, the black thing between the hinges attached to the pillar) until the door shuts

It could be the door lock striker. See http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...?t=3793&page=7

Most likely if not the two posts above it is the rubber seals causing this. Use Gummi Pfledge and that should stop the noise assuming the issue is the seals. Many BMWs that don't get an annual refresh of GP do this...

I would start by getting some lithium grease and greasing all metal contacting points. The two hinge points and the door striker latch. See if that helps.
