M3 Rear Subframe bushing questions
I am getting a LSD/M3 control arms this month, then coilovers the next month then sways the month after that LOL!! Question is when is a good time to do the M3 subframe bushings? I am guessing with the LSD since exhaust, drive-shaft ECT will be out? What is the speacial tool it takes to get these out I keep hearing about? This doesnt seem to be a real hard job...maybe 6 hour job but will be more than 1/2 way there when taking pumpkin out (taking pumpkin out to take to a shop to have wavetrac or Quaife installed....dont want to set back lash LOL!!). Will a shop have to press these out or can I do this?

the best ones would be the ones from powerflex that is solid but its much more of a pain in the ass than the inserts...i would be curious though to how big of a difference it actually makes...
and whats up with all the LOL!! at the end...i dont see whats so funny with everything you say

I am putting in the LSD, then coilovers, powerflex subframe bushings (full not inserts) and they area lot easier to install without a tool and then the rear set bar. Some are saying to not do the rear swaybar and only do the front, I can't see logic in that....maybe they don't have a LSD? Probably do lockdown kit after all suspension is one unless I get bad wheel hop.

What is the biggest benefit of the subframe bushings? Do they help with wheel hop at all (or will the Defiv kit solve this on its own) or just eliminate the "loose" feeling when under full load?

Do the bushings at the same time as the rear sway bar, since that is the only other job that requires rear subframe removal/lowering. |
