I'm having another shop look at it in a few months but the mid-front section does look a litte too low, i was able to fit my fingers between the pipe and bottom of the car. It's definitely not flush against the car.

One finger is fine, it definitely shouldn't touch the car. It's generally the rear section that gets messed up. It should fit between the lower control arm and the rear diff.

Got the new VRSF muffler installed (thanks Tiago for the updated part) with the original tips/outlets. I just hacked off the outlets from the old muffler and welded them on the new, with a little massaging it works fine. Tips are aligned and look great.
The sound is different too; not noticeable at idle but at full throttle it is definitely more throaty and better sounding; less muffled. Still no drone that I could detect (but I don't cruise at 1800rpm either) and I'm calling this an improvement all the way around. I made a video for ya'll to determine how different it sounds. DSC OFF this time. I didn't want to go past 1st gear in the neighborhood, and the wife's patience doesn't allow a trip to a better location. Will do better later. |

Thank you! This is excellent. I want this exhaust so bad. It's just so clean and simple. Not to mention the price is great as well!

If the race version is anything like the HPF exhaust, then I highly recommend it.
I have the cat-back hpf system on and I'm going to put in some catless DP's soon. I think the VRSF exhaust is great for someone who doesn't want too much noise but still to have some muscle when going WOT. |

Here's an in-car sound clip as well to go along with the drive-by.

I will post up video shortly. Broke my charge pipe on the first test drive out unfortunately. Getting an aftermarket one today and then taking it in for service thats over due
Sound is getting louder as the days go by. I like how subtle it is in low end (since i cant go WOT for fear of breaking the borrowed cp) and can't wait to hear it up top. By early next week i should have video.

The BMW PE with catless DP's is really raspy at higher rpm's, I love the sound at low rpm but once you get up there the raspymess is a bit much.
