HELP! Rear Fog Light not working!
ok So I have a problem with my rear left fog light!
I have replaced the socket housing and new globes but still not working! My idrive tells me there is a problem and my mechanic tells me I need a new Light module and this should be done by BMW. Has anyone has this problem before? any idea on the cost for this type of thing? Thanks |

You can have rear fog lights too if you want. Mandatory in Germany, not sure about entire EU. Just get the European Headlight switch. It has the rear foglight push button where yours has a blank. Car is already wired and ready to go. I believe it uses the 2 stage brake lights.

We dont get them. Since we drive with fog lights on all the time, it would look like the rear break light it on. Volvo's have them here. You can spot them every now and again. I remember when I was young seeing all these cars with a brake light on and thought they all had electrical problems.

Yes its easy. The only tool you need is a butter knife are a flat tip screw driver to remove the panel. 5 mintue job.

Sorry, thats what I meant. The car has them, but they are disabled for the US market. Like a bunch of other stuff.

Yep, it's an easy mod. I bought the euro switch, popped out the old switch, and popped in the new one. It took just a few minutes.
