Does anyone know if idle will be adjustable with ATP/ATR? I honestly think i'd be a lot happier with my car if it idled a couple hundred RPMs higher.

Thanks, but unfortunately I have no computer/internet access so INPA is pretty much out of the question for me Hopefully when I go to get ATP tuned later this month/early next month I can get it adjusted then.

Couple more weird issues with Cobb tune I just noticed...
Just got car back from scheduled service and was running it w/o tune, then reinstalled tune shortly after and noticed the following. 1. adaptive headlights do not work with tune - was this a known issue? 2. get a high pitch whine at idle when tune is present, see video. I could not replicate this with the tune uninstalled http://youtu.be/WzZ1JE7WeYs?hd=1 |

My adaptive headlights work fine as well. I can't see youtube at work either so I dono about your whine. Is is constant or cyclic?

Can't imagine that the Cobb tune has any effect on the headlights.
As you probably know, the adaptive feature only works when the switch is in the full counter-clockwise "automatic" position. If you haven't done so, you may want to double-check that. Neil |

I can't imagine the tune having any affect on the headlights.
I've had a fucking nightmare with my adaptive headlights though, infact it's at the dealer right now for an adaptive headlight issue. Something that is, acccording to my dealer, becoming an issue is the seal on the headlight seperating allowing moisture into the headlight destroying the lighting control module. Apparantly it took them 3 seperate visits and 2 1/2 months to figure out |

I could be wrong on the lights. Dealership said they are working but I no longer see them auto-level like I used to when turning them on...? Checked when tune was already installed. I could be overreacting. |

Since ordering my Cobb, I notice that my trunk has some unused junk in it. I hadn't checked before, so I think it must be related. I knew once I ordered a tune that I'd start having problems....
I didn't request overnight shipping, since I've waited years, the $40 didn't seem justified at the time. Now the few days en-route seems like years...... I hope to have my unit today/tomorrow and plan to perform the extensive installation process this weekend. |

Looks like the new Beta maps are up on Cobb's site...including Stage 1+.

I'm currenly running an Evolve stage 2 map, do I need to flash the DME with the latest BMW stock software or can just put Cobb over the Evolve map?
Are there any benefits of putting this on top of the latest BMW standard software rather than an existing tune? Sorry if this has been covered!! |

How long are these maps typically in beta? If I'm stock stage 1, what do people think I should start with - beta or the production?
I have 93 octane, at least that's what the pumps always indicate. I plan on starting with the sport mapping and may try the aggressive stage 1 once everything checks out. Thoughts? p.s. Does everything cobb related really need to be in a single thread? I wouldn't want to break a tradition, but this is ooooonnnnnneeee looooong thread. Quote:

I wouldn't worry about the beta version too much, if the map acts strange then just go back to 3.01. As far as how long they stay in beta...I'm not really sure; maybe a few weeks. |

COBB's beta maps are usually very polished.
It's just beta so that people know they haven't been tested on a wide base of cars yet. Once people have tried them out and reported back that they have no issues then they will make them non-beta. |

Just got back from testing v400 and bad news i have a 2009 335xi ijeos ecu and was running stage 1 aggressive linear throttle. i was on my way home getting on the highway(on ramp) i gave it some gas and ass i hit about 75(merging to a 65 in case the haters are around)and the car goes dead. Im not talking limp mode im talking DEAD lights on everything functioning just engine wont hold idle and when im stopped its revving the engine about 400-700 rpm (over idle). eventually turn off the car turn it back on and drive to the first exit. about 1/4 mile before the exit same thing happens again i pull over restart the car and drive extremely slowly and carefully home. anyway i just checked the code and it reads P2D59-DME INTERNAL ERROR MONITORING ACTUAL TORQUE. if u can chime in cobb or anyone else who knows whats going on id appreciate the help. Thanks in advance
