3M Paint Defender System

Just a heads up to you guys, this stuff is about to revolutionize paint protection. Got my first can a few days ago and tested it on a small corner of the rental car im driving while my 2013 335is makes its way here from the motherland. I will be protecting my entire hood, front fender, headlights, side skirts, and bumper within the first day or two of owning the car The applications of this product are almost endless.

Very cool. Now I don't have to plastidip the entire car in matte clear plastidip or clear bra it myself. I'd spray all the parts you mentioned too, how many bottles would be needed? Be sure to post pics when you do it!

Looks like a good alternative to an expensive clear bra. Definitely let us know how your car comes out.

Wont be anything to post. Its literally invisible. Has the exact same amount of gloss as our clear coats do.

The reviews I read say if you do an entire car it doesn't look good

Yes, about time! I've had a couple of vendors f**k up my cars trying to apply the clear bra. I literally gave up so I'll apply this after my next detail this Spring

This looks like a great product. I'm tempted to do it myself.

Does anyone know if this will interfere with the parking sensors?

This looks like a great product. I already paid over $1,000 for protective film, but if I hadn't, I sure would try this.

I wouldn't expect this to be a replacement for a $1000 clear film but if I was tracking the car and was worried about debris or taking a long trip $40-$50 would be a no brainer.

It only claims to last a year, so it isn't a replacement for a clear bra and technically will cost about the same if you have to redo every year.

i found this stuff to be a major headache. i just tried to spray this on my new front bumper. things were going great until the wind blew a few small specs of dirt and pollen into my garage and onto the wet bumper. tried to remove them carefully and touch it up in time, but these spots just look like shit now. and then when removing painter's tape from the lower grill, some water droplets came with it which then ran onto the wet surface. ruined. i just hope it comes off easily.

so be very calculated with this stuff. do it in a closed garage and make sure you use a leaf blower or something to completely dry the grill, headlight, foglight areas, etc. before spraying.
