Thanks for the advice. I think your guess the weather is right on. I also don't doubt that it's partially attributed to a heavy foot... =P
Those wheels look great, Adam. I was debating between those and the Breytons I ended up getting. I really do like the look of the oem 162s though... which is why I've opted to not try selling them, yet. Last edited by Flakpheiser; 12-21-2009 at 01:43 AM.. |

Thanks for the comments. I love the 162s also, but unfortunately my bro curbed them so bad the rear tire was not holding air (look very carefully at the original picture and you will see the rear is almost flat). He has done some amazing things to the car.

Yea I was told they had to overnight a new one and would be here today.
The window regulators have been replaced as well. Should be done today, as far as I know.

SES light
Hey, Volks
My buddy drives an 01 E46 and he told me his SES was on. I checked it out and it's on with his key in the ignition in the "on" position and will not turn off. Once he starts the car, the light turns off. I didn't notice rough idle or rough engine while driving. Is it normal for that light to stay on? In my experience; it would come on and then shut off after a few seconds... but I'm unsure. thanks in advance! -Shane |

i thought they usually went out but i dont think its abnormal for his to stay on. i think it was different in different models. so once the car is running the light isnt on? as long as its off when the cars running i wouldnt worry about it.

Awesome, thanks man. I had the same feeling but wasn't sure. Yeah, it turns off when the car is running. I told him if it ever turns on while running; to have it checked out.
Thanks for the reply! |

Volks, my service light comes on when I start up my car, and then the service light disappear. Does this mean I have to take it for maintenance?

its all good man-just keep an eye on the one year date from when you got your car for your one year oil change unless you drive more than 15k in a year?

Headed to Knoxville in about a month, fellas. I tried reading this post for meets and stuff, but 145 pages seemed a bit much to filter through.
