Just a heads up....

I dont no how late i am with this but i just wanna share my newly found alternative method for receiving calls through your e9x without bluetooth. I have a non idrive e90 with the aux in port. i just bought a aux jack cable and plugged it in my iphone and amazingly you can have a decent convo with the person on the other line. your voice gets picked up through the mic on your phone.

saves me alot of money

My apologies if a thread already exists.

I used to do that but everyone always complained that they could hear their echo. Now I just use the aux in to play Pandora on my blackberry and listen to it on my car's speakers.

It works great for me as well since I don't have bluetooth. If you have a 3GS, just hold the home button until you get voice recognition, say the name of the person, and you won't even have to look down from the road. It's almost handsfree

I hate that you can't control your songs from the iPhone manually and have steering wheel control at the same time. Many other cars can do that... why cant the BMW setup?

Couple that with this (fits in your cup holder) and the tom tom app and you can have navigation, songs, phone calls all at your fingertips (through your car speakers)! I love it.

Lower the volume and the echo will disappear.
