Exclamation Sticky Door handle

Been happening for over two weeks now, when a passenger opens the door handle to enter the DXB it sticks, and stays out when the door is pulled shut and as i go round a bend flys open so now i have to remind the passengay to ''pop'' it back in, not too happy really, anyone else suffered a ''Sticky handle''??

Like I'm going to tell you

Carlos, spray some WD40 round the handle and operate it to spread it around the mechanism, that should loosen it up.

Or you could try some KY jelly, thats really good for lubrication!
Your girlfriend has some, she told me last week

Carlos, I can't believe you've put up with that for 2 weeks without 'lubing it'.

Try some penetrating grease, the type that comes in a can with a 'straw'. K Y is no good, it's water based. That reminds me, I've got to make an appointment. Shock horror!

This is a common problem with the e90 rear doors.

I had mine replaced under warranty. Talk to your dealer (nicely)

Happened on my 1 series too. Known problem, and the dealer replaced all 4 under warranty.

Carlos.... I know you LOVE your 335d.... but if you clean up afterwards, you should not be left with sticky door handles!!

Only kidding mate

My first E46 had this problem too - but it was with the old mechanism handles that pulled straight out and not out-and-up.
Have had no problems with the newer handled cars since though.

Both front doors suffered with this when I bought it 30 odd thousand miles ago.

Quick spray of WD40 with an attendant bit of kitchen roll to wipe away any dribbles (no change there then ) and they have been fine ever since.
