Help! Need advise of Koni adjustment with H&R Sport (E92)

I'm getting my Koni yellows and H&R Sport springs tomorrow and I need some advise on shock adjustment settings. I'm not looking for the bouncy feel. Preferrably firm. Any suggestions from those who are running the same set-up? BTW, I will be putting on my 19's shortly after.

Most will tell you that about 1.5 turns from soft in the rear and 1 turn from soft in the front is good with those springs. It worked well when I had that setup on my 325 E90.

Thanks. I will most likely be getting them installed tomorrow morning. I've heard you want to make sure that the rear setting are set correctly because you can't adjust them once they have been mounted. The front you can adjust anytime.

Right, they have to be removed to be re-adjusted.

Are those settings geared toward a softer or firmer ride? How did it compare to OEM?

Bump for more input on this.

I'm about to install Koni Yellows as well.

TIA!

I have mine at a similar settings. Ride is a little more firm than ZSP. I actually think I could've went a little more firm all around.

I don't have H&R's but I do have the Eibach springs and I set mine 1/2 turn from soft. and the ride is comparable to stock ZSP but a bit frim over bumps. hope this helps.

You always want to make all shock adjustments by starting at full stiff and working your way backwards. Turning to full stiff to start closes the bleed orifices and allows equal adjustment of the shocks. Full soft opens the bleed orifices to a varying degree and will not allow even adjustments.

OP, if you are looking to not have a bouncy ride on that setup you definitely need to get shorter bump stops in the front.

When you buy the Koni struts, don't they come with shoter bump stops?

I ordered a set today and he had the best price I could find. Believe he said he had 1 more set in stock, with more coming.

I was actually referring to the shorter bump stops, not the Koni's.

In that case, Tischer is always a good bet, assuming the shorter bump stops are OEM (are they?).

If anybody else could chime in on where to get shorter bump stops, that would be great.

I'm keeping my factory sport bump stops on my H&R's. Here's some info regarding shorter bumps. Take it FWIW....http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=437485

That is really good info. I assume this holds true for shocks that "click" too, right?

Thanks. Once I read that shorter bump stops would void my warranty, I decided not to go for them. I'm going to keep the factory ones and see how that goes. So many people have the Koni Yellow/ H&R Sport combo and I've never really heard anybody talk about the bump stops until now. I'm sure I'll be fine.

I thought with H&R Sports OEM bump stops needed to be trimmed.
