Great another defective POS piece. Hopefully the newer ones are less prone to fail, Even though the part number is different, the sensor looks exactly the same as the old one when I changed mine out.

$67!!! Now I'm feeling dirty. Yep, $120.73. I have no idea why so much. Maybe because I live in Vegas and everyone try to rape someone? You know they say what happen in Vegas... stays in Vegas (except herpes). Did you get yours from a BMW dealership?

Yeap. Got mine straight from the dealer. That's just crazy. Almost twice the amount I paid.

I paid $101.00 + tax for mine, at the dealer.

Guess they know it's a failing part now.

Did you have a code or something? How did you get BMW to replace that part?

Last time I checked it wasn't covered under warranty. I never changed out the sensor since I got the error 2 years ago and my car is running fine. Although, I tried to clear the code with an INPA but it won't go away. I guess it'll go away if I change the lpfp sensor, but then again no symptom.

Mine has no symptoms also for like a year and then when it finally broke I could not even go half throttle without a huge back fire and the car feeling like it was running on 2 cylinders! Do yourself a favor and change it out...

I know this is an old thread but since my HPFP pump change a few days ago my LPFP is pegged at 87psi. I am thinking the connection might have been damaged during reinstall. Anyone know if I would log 87psi if sensor is disconnected? Or know the value INPA will show. I was too quick to reinstall everything after the HPFP checked out ok and would like to diagnose with computer before tearing into her again.

I just replaced the HPFP and only get that code. I still have the old "Brass" low pressure sensor. Should i just leave the old sensor or install the Bosch one.

PS: I know its a reply from a post in 2012

Update the sensor, it'll help overall but still may not remove 2aaf
