Any thing other than pump/t-stat failure?
Hi all! Well, the other day was driving along and minding my business when I stopped at an intersection. Happened to notice the engine fan was running full blast (oh hell I thought to myself) and sure enough, shortly there after the yellow water temp light came on.
EDIT: Would this be a solid indication of the pump being bad? Is there something else I should look into first? If its the pump I need to order it ASAP. Just dont want to order until I know for certain (obviously). HELP! 2E82 Electric coolant pump cutoff, over-current 29F3 2AAF 3100 2A7C - vanos, probably need cleaning? Hows your battery?
1st code is a Coolant Pump code 2nd code is Fuel Pressure 3rd is Fuel Pump Plausibility 4th is what seems like a failsafe mode code 5th Vanos Thats alot of varying codes. Check the status of your battery, dying batteries are known to cause lots of weird codes. |

If your vehicle is a 2007 and you haven't had the water pump replaced it's likely time. They typically fail by the 75,000 miles range. If you haven't change the vanos you can try cleaning them first but with that mileage I would probably just replace them for peace of mind since you are already in there.

Thanks for the responses! I'll go home and check the battery first and take things from there. I agree that it is probably just time for the pump to be replaced however.

Checked the battery yesterday and the light was black. Gonna get a new battery first and start there, what are the chances the battery could be causing this?
