Unhappy 10mm H7&R Rear Spacers

Hey guys,

I have a set of 10mm H&R spacer's for my rear wheels and, for the second time, one of the longer bolts i recieved with the spacers has broke (snapped in half). This has resulted in the back half of the lug to be left flush with the car's hub.

I am looking to purchase new lug bolts, but i was wondering what size i need for 10mm spacers?

Help is appreciated..

You'll need a 33mm or 34mm length lug bolt for your 10mm spacer. M12x1.5 34mm is the specs you'll need to look for.

Also, you aren't using any sort of lubrication on the threads right? No grease or anti-seize should be used on the threads of your lug bolts. Even anti-seize will become a pseudo lubricant and is not recommended on lug bolts. Torquing a lubricated lug bolt can result in over torquing and failure of the bolt like you described above.

In over 3 years of using many different sized spacers Ive never had that happen to me. were they torqued correctly or maybe bolted in crooked?

get RE spacers, they're the best.

90% of the spacers in the market is made with low grade china aluminum
companies these days just wanna make money and lower costs...

Weird. I'm running 15mm RE spacers in the rear any my bolts have been fine for about a year and a half. Sorry for your bad luck. Hope this next batch works out well for you!

The spacers weren't low quality, apparently it was the bolts that were supplied with them that were.

Thank you for all the great advice and replies everyone.

I have one more reuqest: does anyone know where I can purchase black extended lug bolts (M12x1.5 34mm - as the great folks at VMR recomended) that fit similar to the oem bmw lugs - where they extend into the slots provided and dont stick out like regular ones?

Rogue engineering also sells them. You should get them from a vendor on e90 post like eas. Always better to deal within the community.you will be taken care of better.
