COBB Accessport issues - help?

I just got my AP!

However, when I can't seem to connect it to the computer. It says "Accessport not connected" even though the AP turns on. I've tried this on the latest version of the AP Manager on both OSX and Vista.

Also, I've tried connecting it to the car but it says that the car's ROM was unidentified and I should contact technical support. From the "user tools", I was download the car's ECU information into the AP but this seems useless if I can't connect it to a computer!

Please let me know what can be done. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using a different USB cable and USB port? Try that. If that doesn't help, try restarting your system with the AP connected, and then open up AP Manager.

I have an AP for my MINI so I hope when you try to update, it doesn't get stuck on an "Updating..." screen, because then you'll have to send it back to AP, which I've had to do twice. Hopefully this won't be an issue for you.
