Is the A/C condenser near the transmission?

I get what seems to be water leaking on the pavement from where I would expect my transmission to leak, but it's def not trans fluid, it's clear, odorless and tasteless, so the only thing I can think of is condensation...Is the condenser near the transmission?

Yes, the drains for the condenser are on both sides of the transmission tunnel just about at the end of the transmission.

The condensor is actually located in front of the radiator at the front of the vehicle. But you are correct, the drains for the evaporator, which is located inside the dash, are near the transmission. It is definately A/C condensation that you are seeing.

That's what somewhat confused me as I'd never heard of the condenser being so far back, but the drains makes sense. At least I know now I was only tasting water and not chemicals

Seems to be - where are your puddles forming? Near where the trans is like mine? If everything else is normal (engine temp, etc), and the liquid is just water, I wouldn't worry about it

Wow, someone who knows what their talking about on this forum (somewhat rare)!
The condensation is the humidity being removed from the cabin air by the evaporator. Those of you living in newer houses with air handlers in the attic, be aware GALLONS of water are being condensed up there just waiting for an opportunity for a drain system malfunction resulting in major water damage!
