I exchanged a few emails today, with a very helpful guy called Andrew, from the company I posted in my earlier email. I asked if the clutch would be heavier. He says, the pedal feel is the same as OEM fitting.
This is for the ‘stage 1’ or ‘stage 2’ as they are referred to. (20% and 30% uprated torque). The ‘paddle’ type would result in a change in driving style’. (I think that was stage 3).
However, I could only see up to E46 on the web site and asking further questions resulted in the response that a clutch ‘will be available’ for the E90.

He couldn’t give any more details unless a car reg number was provided for some reason.

I'm not at that stage yet but maybe you give it a whirl?

Claims to be £295 on that link. Not sure if that is everything that's needed for the job. Also not sure how that compares price wise to a LUK clutch.

Doh!
I hadn't scrolled down the screen enough on the web site, to see the separate E90 link.

Anyway, prices I've seen quoted for Luk clutch is around £150

That's for supply only, so approx double oem.

i guess fitting all depends on who you know?

Best of luck.

Just been speaking to two mechanics, one and they said look for a solid flywheel conversion kit to replace the DMF.

I've been quoted £450 Labour to replace the clutch.

Well they're pulling you're pants down as it's no more than a 2 hour job.
And a solid flywheel on a diesel 6 cyl?Would love to hear the noise that makes!

I can assure you that they don't.Best try somewhere that knows the cars rather than quoting off the scale prices.
