Why are you redlining? I'm not saying you should expect a limp if you redline, but it's kind of pointless. Not sure what the SSTT boost levels are like, but you can assume there is no power after 6500 RPMs

something is wrong. either its the SSTT or ur diverter valves are not holding boost although i highly doubt that. did u get the codes scanned?

Scan codes before jumping to conclusions, post your codes here if you need help figuring them out. The SSTT is such a simple device it is unlikely that it is malfunctioning. In the event that an SSTT is not working properly you should get codes on startup indicating that the TMAP is not connected.

Will the car even start if the connection is no bueno? I would think that the car wouldn't allow you to run. With no connection or even a bad connection.

Yes the car will start.. back when I had a JB+ beta version one of the wires was not completely connected in the JB+ and lead to a break in the connection between the TMAP.. My car started fine.. just ran like crap with a SES and reduced power/ engine failure light..
The problem was fixed with a simple push of one of the connectors into the plug..
