If it wasn't for the natural fear of caning it over the blind crest, we would've definitely caught some major air ala starsky and hutch

AND the new cam mount would've been great. Oh well I guess next time.

Thanks to all for going, and for constantly pushing me to go faster...the e92 is past break-in now, and thanks to you guys the first test was a blast. It was great having sstarch tailing at high-speed, and looking in the rear-view at the line of corona's, angel-eyes, and kidney grilles. Just an all-out blast. I have enjoyed those roads for years, and hopefully you'll find them fun too.

It was also very nice to meet you all...I had met cycler2 and Wxsquid before, but the rest of you are just as cool, enthusiastic, and passionate about the cars (and people). Good times, good times.

I cannot wait for the Spring Wine 'n Drive and if anyone wants to get a west & Loudoun road list from, then let me know...

Kudos to Brian for the amazing pictures. For a hobby, you're damned good bro!
Also kudos to those crazies who downed entire Frappucino's, if I had that much sugar in my system, I think I would have a heart attack...

Just good times!

Kudos Scott and thanks for starting this year with your enthusiasm

WxSquid! your fun attitude is contagious..

Rich! Nice to meet you again hope to do a roadie trip again soon
.... I think I'll be ready for those climbs!

nice to finally meet MDman and Starch

cant wait for brian's
Just got on-line. What a great time, yesterday. The drive was insane but, for me, getting to meet everyone was the highlight of the day.

Scott--thanks for setting up the route. I lived in Mclean for many years and knew many of the roads we took, but never drove them that way before!

Doug and Al--good to meet you again. Al, I'm looking forward to our next cycling trip. Maybe we can get some of the guys and gals to substitute leg power for horsepower.

Donny, Brian and Starch (is is Stephen?)--great to meet you. Great photos Donny and Brian.

Now back to the drive. Yesterday was the first time I really stretched my 328 on the road. Lots of fun, but in retrospect, we probably did some pretty silly things on roads with so many blind turns and elevation changes. Maybe we should plan a DC Metro driving school excursion to Summit Point. Just my two cents.

I'm looking forward to our next outing.

I'm glad we went yesterday. What a difference a day makes! If you have to drive today, I hope everyone is safe out there.

I was disappointed you did the Starbucks HH on a Saturday so I couldn't make it but it would've been cancelled today anyway so you're all off the hook. Looks like you all had fun, great pictures too!!!!

Hey guys, the fashionably late lurker here... just wanted to say it was great to meet everyone. Hopefully next time I get to make it on time. It's not fun taking all of those unknown (for me) sweeping turns and mountains, (they really did look like mountains sometimes ) not knowing what's coming up ahead, all alone in order to catch up! Anyhow, it was great at the end. I hope to do it again soon.

Well,,,, I've got about 4-5 inches here, and should hit at least 6 by the time it stops. Since it is supposed to go all night, with the freezing rain/sleet on top of the snow... I'm thinking I have tomorrow off. Now, to get the pizza guy to deliver!

Rich -- my apologies if any of the roads and/or situations were a bit 'silly.' I grew up driving those roads and after the BMW school last month, I've been feeling up for the challenge. I don't think we did anything too crazy, rarely did we hit high speeds, and there were few blind hills. The Loudoun county roads are twisty but the exits are a bit more visible and there will be less traffic around...

See you all then.

I KNEW I should be checking this board more often.

I hate I missed the event. Hope to make the next one. And it should be a Sunday, so Dani can make it, too!

Scott--no need to apologize. I was a willing participant and smiled all the way.

I just wanted to raise a caution flag, because on these roads you never know whether someone will pull out of their driveway at an inopportune moment.

Cant wait scott. Maybe if those roads are a little more open, you might be able to enjoy the view of my tailights.....
