Opinions on sale value
Hi All,
I have a friend of mine that's interested in purchasing my 335xi as it is with all the mods/maintenance I have done to it which would really save me a lot of hassle of swapping back to stock. The tough part has been coming up with a reasonable price for the car, I have tried to compare to some others online however most typically strip the car of it's mods and sell stock. Just looking for some opinions on what I should be asking for it, I have listed the mods just below (I'm sure I'm missing some) along with the maintenance I've just performed. All stock parts replaced with mods will be included also. Car is in pristine working condition with no accidents or claims and has never seen winter, I have ALL BMW service records from previous owner. Any advice is greatly appreciated! 2007 BMW E90 335xi Sport pkg in Sparkling Graphite @ 107,000km MODS done within 5,000km -VRSF 7" Intercooler -Cobb charge pipe -BMS Intakes -BMS Short shifter -ZHP Shift Knob -Mtec Angel eyes bulbs -M3 Front Bumper -Mtec Rear bumper -VRSF ceramic coated downpipes -JB4 G5 w/cable -Magnaflow Exhaust -Mint BMW 313 wheels with brand new Potenzas -KW V3 Coilovers -Tow hook license plate holder -CF Steering wheel trim -OE spoiler -Black Kidney Grills -Clutch Stop -LED lighting interior/exterior -M Badge .....J/k Maintenance/repairs done within 5,000km -Spark Plugs and Coils -Walnut Blasting -Water Pump -Oil filter housing gasket -New Rad -Performance slotted/cross drilled rotors & pads all around -New tensioners w/belt -New Alternator pulley -New Injectors -All fluids changed , oil, coolant, brake etc etc -Not done within the last 5,000km but turbos/HPFP/1st set of injectors replaced @ 45,000km under warranty. |

With all mods you have done and the mileage of the car i would say 20 k even is a fair price. Not a deal though just because the car is a 07 year
I would not go any lower than 17k |

I have had my 2008 335xi listed on Autotrader and Craisglist for 6 weeks and cant sell it.
Its basically stock and has 75,000kms on it. Started at $17,000 have dropped it to $14,000 and still couldn't sell it. Ended up trading it in for $10,000 (roughly $11,200 tax savings)

The seller can and will always ask for the sky for their chariot, but whether they get call for the car has to be seen. If it's so special, better keep it as a trophy car and in about 50 yrs, it may fetch $1m

The problem is that the people who are shopping for these cars now don't know of the value from all the stuff you have done on the car.
They rather buy a cheap 335i, then only to figure out that everything is pretty much shot on the car and every little bit starts adding up $$$. |

Recently went through the experience of selling my 335i, fully loaded Msport model, thought it would be easy...almost ended up trading it in until a buyer last minute.
Everyone is a racer saying to get RWD manual cars but not many will put up the money for one heh. |
