Replace 1 front tire?

I have a 2007 E90 with the OEM 16" wheels & Bridgestone EL42 RFT's. The car has about 15,700 miles on it and I still have about half the tread depth left. I had a flat (big nail) on my right front tire and the dealer replaced it on my Easy Care wheel & tire warranty. Now I have one new front tire with full tread while the rest are half worn. Should I swap out the left front tire with a new one as well? Thanks for the suggestions.

one tyre (tire)!

Change one tyre for now.

The dealer's probably not going to change good tyres under warranty, but no harm asking.

So you might have to shell out money for the replacement tire(s).

I understand that and the dealer has already replaced the damaged tire under the wheel and tire warranty. I think I will just shell out money for the other tire and replace it myself.

If you have at least 6/32nds of an inch of tread depth remaining I'd likely replace one tire first and see if you have pulling problems. Since you have the non staggered 16" setup, I'd suggest installing the new tire in the rear, which should further minimize any potential pulling problems.

I do not have any pulling problems. Everything seems fine. The difference in tread depth between the new and old tires is about 1/8". The dealership has quoted about $315 installed and Firestone's price is $226 installed. I might just take it down to Firestone and have a new tire installed if I decide to do it. However, I do like your idea of swapping the new tire to the rear. Thanks!
