I can't get it up..........

I'm talking boost pressure

I unplugged my battery for a couple of hours last night drove for approx 48 miles today and then began datalogging......

First was at 90% - 14.3 at 5770 rpm (3rd gear)
Second was at 93% - 14.6 at 4445 rpm (2nd gear)
Last was at 95% - hit 14.5 at 4357rpm (2nd gear) and 14.5 at 4692 rpm (but on the bottom slope of the gear from 6752 rpm) and then 14.5 again in 3rd gear at 5677 rpm.

Not sure why so little variation.

Of course, every time you change settings, there is a new adaptation period, so you may not have realized the benefit of the higher settings (assuming these % changes had no adaptation time between them).

I would leave it at 95% for now and drive it for a couple of days, then capture a couple more logs and see if there is any change. It could be that your car can produce 14.5 and that's it. If so, you should reduce your settings to the minimum that will produce 14.5, which appears to be 93%.

Questions:

How far apart (time-wise) were your runs?

What octane are you running?

Do you have a boost gauge installed?

Cheers!!!

Had a buddy int he passenger seat and after the break in at 90%, I didnt allow any time in between the other changes.....He changed the settings, ran the logs and then moved to the next percentages....that would explain a bit....Since I have done this, any reason why I cant start over again with an unplugged battery and then just start out at 95%?

runs were about 2-3 mins apart.

1/4 tank of shell 93 left.

No boost gauge.

Cheers to you.......

I believe Eugen recommended unplugging the ECU between updates to accelerate the learning. For me, I setup the V2 this past Sunday at stock settings and drove it around for a while. Monday involved more driving and an eventual bump to 92% with more driving, including the round trip (~120 miles) to work on Tuesday. On the way back from work, I stopped off at a local shopping district and increased it to 94%. This gave me an opportunity to give it a couple of pulls while I still had some highway to play with before arriving at home. So, it took me several days for the ECU to fully adapt to the increases.

As long as you have a high enough octane in the tank, I would put it at 95% and disconnect for 1 hour. Then give it three days of driving to adapt. Check the logs carefully. Report back what you find out...

+1 When you know already that 95% will be fine no reason for starting at 90% again. A different map will be a different story ...

So when I disconnect and then reconnect the ECU will still be reading 95% or will I have to load everything again?

No he means that since you already tested at 95%, resetting your Ecu doesn't really matter...You already know you can run 95%...Just disconnect the battery next time and go immediately to 95%...no need to start low again

So does it appear to you that 95% is safe for me to run? I havent driven my car for 3 days (tortuous) and right before I left town I unplugged battery for a few hours and let it sit. I then reloaded the firmware and the new map and set everything at 95%, based on the results I have gotten to date (see above).

I will say that 95% is probably your max...Datalog the runs and see the peak boost...I would not go any higher than that with 93octane...I am running 95% also and my peak is at 14.7-14.9 which is at the peak of what Shiv reccommended.

You're datalogging with 3rd & 4th gear pulls from 2000 to redline to determine your maximum boost PSI before raising the User Torque settings, right? Just reading above it sounds like you went from stock 90% to 94% over 1 day without any datalogs. That can't be the case... What were your maximum boost numbers for 90%, 92% and 94%?
