OK - tell me if this makes sense. The BMW website says awaiting transport and the phone says that I'm awaiting a shipping vessel. I shot my sales mo an email and he tells me that my car is in transit, that it is coming through Charleston and that he should have an estimated delivery date within a few days.

That would mean that I would HAVE to be on COURAGE, right? If I do a cargo search for my VIN, I get nothing!?! Do you think my sales guy has something screwed up?

I axed him what carrier / ship I'm on and he says he didn't know and that I'd have to look into it.

Well if it left the 24th it might take another day to register in the system. I believe it took me a day and a half to two days to get into the system.

Cool - thanks. I think that's the boat I"m on. I shot my sales jerk an email this morning of all the discrepancies and he says he "misread" the report. Now, when I call, it says my car is "In Transit" and it still isn't on the W&W cargo tracker. I bet it shows up there in a couple of days.

J.Diddy, if you don't show up on the Integrity, another ship also left the same day from Bremerhaven bound for Baltimore then Charleston. It is a K line ship called Caribbean Highway...it gets to the East coast faster than the Integrity (by about 4 days) but K line does not have a way to track your cargo.

I am on either of these two ships and my VIN hasn't shown up yet for the Integrity and if the VIN doesn't appear in another day, it is probably on the CH.

WOAH, I'm on this boat too! I did ED (Dropped my car off in Paris on June 9th), and I'm supposed to pick my car up at the PDC in S. Carolina...

So since it's listed as arriving in NYC 7/1, and Charleston on 7/5, does that mean it'll be ready for delivery within a few days of those dates?

I saw that.. some M3 folks were lamenting about the delayed arrival. Two days is quite a bit for a ship. Weather? Pirates? Bad engine?

The Don Juan, the ship that is carrying my car, took off a day late after the Courage and has now passed it on it's way to Halifax, NS.

The distance from the last point, to the dock at NYC was around 2600 km, which was divided by an approximate speed in knots (as expressed in KM/h) and the hours divided by 24 to get the days.

That's innacurate. You should take the distance of the last two points measured and you will get a more accurate speed for the remaining leg of the journey.

Of course, like I said - quick calculations. I have to assume it'll be there on the 2nd. Either way, I'm sure the holiday is going to delay all of our dealers.

I was told "5 days" from the time it arrives in NYC. Not sure if that includes weekends or holidays. I don't expect to see it until Friday the 11th or Saturday the 12th—which, coincidentally, is the date I took delivery on my RSX back in 2001.

Shipyard will be closed for the 4th, in addition to the prep center (Info from my SA). So the dealer will not see the car till the following week (Mid). So if all is well, not this, but next weekend you can cruise
