My ... Plasti-Dip Project
well I plasti-dipped the wheels for winter to protect from the salt and have always wanted a bronze color. well, over this past sunday me and a friend knocked it out! The regular plasti dip is kind of a bitch to work with but managed to go slow and get it smooth
I used the Gold Metalizer on top of a black base and ended up with sort of a gold/bronze metallic which is awesome because it almost changes colors. It looks bronze when it's overcast or dark out but also has a gold sheen to it when it's bright out and the sun is hitting it. pretty happy with it so far. Every thinks I've bought new wheels lol Pics are from my cell phone so the color does vary a little bit but it's close to actual |

Great job!
I think it would look best on white.

Thanks guys! A guy I work with said I should have done black, but everyone does black! I have always loved bronze wheels and it really gives the car a unique look.

Looks great!! Does the bronze outer layer make the plastidip hold up better cause I did 3 coats on my rims and they started peeling in 3 months?

Thanks guys! I was thinking about going for a dark red for the longest time but decided my car isn't aggressive enough to pull off a color like that. Pretty happy with my decision so far!
I did about 4-5 coats of black, mainly because of all the Damn spokes lol and 4 coats of the gold metallizer. Should definitely create a strong coat that should last. |

Thanks man! If I lower the car this summer, I may try it then. I am happy with the bronze/gold though because it sets it apart from the typical bmw with polished wheels lol I need to black out the window trim next
