What is a good in-tank valve cleaner?
Is there a good valve cleaner that can be added to my gas on a regular basis to clean up my valves somewhat?
I understand you can clean the valves from the DIY I saw but I dont have the time and Im not going to pay someone to do it when Im fully capable of doing it myself. But until I do have the time whats a good additive to clean up injectors and valves alil bit?

There is nothing available as this car is direct injection (the fuel injectors are in the combustion chamber and not the intake valve to spray over the intake valves). That is why the valves need to be cleaned manually.

How much does it cost for a shop to do it typically?

Sucks that direct injection is creating a gunky valve problem. As always though, to help keep the valves clean, be certain to spend some time really working the engine. High RPM, high loads. A good long Canyon run will do it, basically running the motor good and hard once a week or will go a long ways to keeping your motor clean and healthy.
Short shifting, lugging your motor, and just puttering around are death to a performance engine, run them as intended, have fun, drive hard and your motor will stay cleaner. Remember, red-line is a safe place to be, and the fuel cut-off is there to protect your motor.

We used to call that an "Italian Tune-up"! Only way we could keep/extend the efficiency of Ferraris, Fiats, etc. Occassionally, run the piss out of them.
