Arrow BavarianX|LS3 LED Angel Eye Kit VS. Umnitza Predator Orion V2 E92 [PHOTOS]

I think I viewed enough threads about Angel Eyes and I have the required background to make a good decision.

The following 2 brands have caught my eyes, they are very close to each other.

Predator Orion V2 E92 Application with REMO (Which all of you now know is equivalent to OSS)

BavarianX | LS3 LED Angel Eye Kit

I used to regard OSS as the best Angel Eyes available on the market but according to the threads I read, the LS3 are not only nearly identical in looks but also have more LEDs in them than the OSS. (LS3 have over 220 Individual L.E.D.s)

As for the price, which does not include shipping to my country Lebanon:
-Umnitza Predator Orion V2 is priced at $245.99
-BavarianX | LS3 LED Angel Eye Kit: The V2 is priced at $349 (w/o any installation)

Please note that I will install the Angel Eyes at a local shop here.
For this matter, I have found an installation guide for the Umnitza Orion V2 or the so called OSS but did not find any for the LS3 which worries me a bit but I will contact BavX and I'm sure he'll supply me with the necessary information.

I did a first thread to acquire general info about all the Angel Eyes kits available.
Now that I have trimmed down my alternatives, help me make the right choice between those 2

Vendors, Angel Eyes reviewers, what do you guys think?

Note:
Please don't take price into consideration, I guess price is relative to everyone and the difference between those 2 is not huge to me.
Advise me in terms of :
-Daylight Brightness
-Nighttime look
-Installation Difficulty & problems
-Which L.E.D.s look better
etc...
I will do the blackout option myself at a local headlight specialist store here in Beirut

It's really up to you as both are very identical. I went with the LS3 because of convenience reasons since BavX was only 15 min away so it would end up being cheaper than shipping my headlights and also could do a 1 day turn around. Both are great products and I am sure BavX can help you with the install as it should be really similar to the OSS anyways.

There is an Authorized LS3 installer in the UK which you could contact if you want to have them installed for you.

It's truly remarkable how overpriced these are.

Not really... I think the value is definitely worth it. Angel eyes are one of the most fascinating head-turning mods in a BMW

There's alot of R&D that goes into making a set. Idk about making the rings, but to install them, have them fitted, opening/sealing the headlight.....it takes alot of time and that's where the price gets jacked up because it's very time consuming.

I'm not arguing install cost, just the cost for the actual product. The rings are just molded plastic, which is by no means expensive. The LEDs themselves cost around $25, and substantially less when purchased in bulk. As for R&D, there isn't a whole lot. The circuit is simple, the power supply is simple, etc.

Well you also need a PCB (printed circuit board) made. You also need to factor in that these are custom. They are most likely hand made. Hand soldered. Which takes alot of time.

You're right, R&D is probably not that much. But not many people know how to calculate how much current to run through an LED. How to wire it. How to fabricate it.

That's where OSS and Bav X can mark up.

Also have to consider warranty. I bet OSS and Bav X back their products 100%. If something goes wrong, they need to fix it. There's really a huge list, I can keep typing......

PCBs are very inexpensive to produce. As for the wiring scheme and current, it's EE101 or a five second Google search: http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz. I also highly, highly doubt these are hand-soldered, as it would be thoroughly impractical. OSS sources their rings from Umnitza, whose products are mass produced and sourced from China.

It's plain and simple price gouging based on lack of competition and people's expectations that parts for a luxury car will be expensive. It's a little ridiculous that OSS and LS3 cost upwards of $600 installed, while entire DEPO P90 housings with LED rings are $599. Yeah, DEPO skimped and only put ~70 LEDs per ring for some reason, but the point stands.

Agreed 100%..markup on these are insane. But I can't say these are worse than the LUX or EAS alternatives which aren't too far off in price (at least compared to the OSS/Umnitza kit).
