Hi All,

This is my first post here (got linked over from bimmerfest) so I apologize if this is a repeat post. But, can anyone recommend a good place to get tints on '07 3 series in the Metro Detroit area?

I got mine done at sunshade, they did a good job, I would like a higher quality film next time. They don't offer much beside what they have in stock.

Just make sure they tint inside the 3rd brake light, looks so odd when they don't.

haven't had them do my E90 or previous cars but i've been told notorious tintz in livonia is good.

Funny you should post this thread. I just got pulled over by a dick cop in detroit. Wasn't a state cop or anything. Some bored as hell dude wanting to apologize for pulling me over for no reason, then stating he had to give me a ticket for something.... So he blamed my 35% tints.

So, if you seem him. Give em the finger and tell em it was from the 2012 SGM e92 335i.

Definitley go to Notorious Tints in Livonia....all my cars have been there including my brothers cars, they are a little more expensive but you pay for quality! My E90 has been tinted from them as well

Did my 335 at buzz off auto in troy. I did 33% the sides, back and 50% the windshield. They did a superb job. They are a bit pricey but the quality of film and the workmanship it's impeccable.

lol..sorry i know its not funny to get a ticket but how you described it is amsuing

but you're right there's cops that will get you especially for tints, complete a**holes. That's what has made me cautious about getting them. I've heard that even having an ophthalmologist's letter won't help.

it's all about the window prep and the installers ability to cut the film.

the best guys will cut and fit the tint so well, you won't be able to see a line when the window is down.

definitely an art. ask the installer to see some of their work.

i've had my three previous cars done at shader's at 15/gratiot in clinton twp. They do a lot of the local dealerships...

wherever you go, ask to see some of their work on dot matirx, then decide
