When I got the grills off Badly I was speaking to him about the car.
He did get it dirt cheap but that seems for a reason. The car was wandering all over the road and had running issues. Arnold Clark did spend thousands trying to repair it but I think they gave up knowing they were chasing a lost cause. Rear axle was cracked possibly due to heavy side contact into kerb. Even once replaced the car just wouldn't sit square. I think it was deemed both the ECU and smaller turbo were needing done but Arnold Clark wanted Badly to sign a disclaimer to say that once the work was done he would no longer contact them. No come back. He refused and Arnold Clark gave him his money back. They did say they were just going to fire it through an auction as they wanted rid of it. Pretty tough when one of the UKs biggest car dealer has to dump lemons through the auction onto somebody else. I wonder if the garage who have bought it know any better? Baldy bought the car 6 months ago and it still has 75k on the clock. Not sure if that means it was broken down that often or someone has erased 6 months of history? |
