any way to repair leather tears?

No, my E90 is just fine.

The "female-friend's" dad has a cut/scratch/tear in his car and wants to know if there is any way to fix it. I haven't seen it, so don't know if we're talking surface abrasion, puncture wound, or slash down the seat-back.

I know there are those leather repair kits online, but those seem sketchy.
Plus I was under the impression that there's no way to fix a tear in leather.

Any thoughts?
