No it only peels off if you intentionally take the edge and peel. Comes off in one clean piece if you do 5-6 layers

I did my reflectors, side markers (light still shows through just the same), window trim, and 335i emblem yesterday. Couldn't be happier with results:

Sorry I don't have more pics with better light

I love plasti dip and have used it for a ton of stuff however i would go against using it on the trim... I personally have never done it but i've spoken to people that have and they say its nearly impossible to get all the angles like the inside edges. If i were you i'd just

Buy the vinyl here: http://www.bmwshadowline.com/

And follow these instructions: http://www.bmwshadowline.com/images/ShadowlineDIY.pdf

Since i haven't done it yet i don't know how difficult it really is but from the instructions it seems like it's pretty easy and just requires patience.

Also if you go the plasti dip route and use the glossifier you might not like how the gloss turns out. It's still slightly textured like the original matte black plasti dip unfortunately

Loving the look of my new black kidney grills/lower mesh!!!

Next? Plastidipping my shadowline gloss black!

BTW, should I leave those yellow side reflectors as-is? The quarter moon shaped yellow reflectors on the fenders above the tires, do you guys plastidip them or something?

You should buy painted ones to match your car.

Yeah, I think if they were black it would look weird.

Gotcha... I guess I need to get myself a quart of Space Grey paint... How about the lighted reflectors on the fenders? I've heard some say to buy smoked reflectors but I can't find a link for them.

I think some vendors sell pre-painted reflectors.
As far as the side markers, you can have them smoked by a tint place for real cheap. I've heard the aftermarket ones don't fit well.

I installed BMS angel eyes last week. When I showed my girlfriend, she asked what she was supposed to be looking at. I said, the angel eyes. She asked what was different. I said, the old lights were yellow, and now they're a slight blue.

She said she didn't get it and went back inside. Well, I like 'em anyway.

How did your window trim turn out?

I had trouble getting mine perfect. At times part of the plastdip didn't want to come off smoothly without peeling off some of the finished trim.

Mine came out perfect. The trick is to not tape all the way to the edge, by leaving an inch between the trim and tape. This allows for a clean cut when you peel the excess off. Basically you let the cars lines cut it for you, all you do is peel it off. I use to have this problem plasti dipping things until I watched the video I posted earlier

Those people were doing it wrong. If they left a gap between tape and trim there would be no problem with angles. It was very easy for me!

You can see the gap here
