So, just a quick question(sorry for my n00b question) what is the benefit of the Euro intake over an aftermarket like an AFE Stage 2?

Nice I might have to try this. It's better than the K&N drop in right? How long did it take?

About 2 hrs at a very relaxed pace, I am still using my K&n drop in and it makes a world of a difference. You have to delete the charcoal too.

Can you post part numbers of the kit? I dont have AutoZone here so will need to improvise.

For some duct ideas look up: sink drain mod for e36 e46 or e39
use the plastic inlet for a speaker tube. Will look sharp.
Finally did the mod on the grilles, very pleased with the result.

I have the flat K&N also, I am not planning on doing the cone filter swap anytime soon.

Nice mesh, is it custom or stock

If custom, what is the part & source. I need to make my center grille on 128i look that good & shiny

Oh man, I was very impressed with the quality of this custom mesh, definitely recommend it. Get the diamond XXL, its the closest to the OEM grid pattern. Only needed two 6" x 36" sheets. They are offered as bare aluminum or powder coated.

Scroll back a page and you'll find the description of the mod. Dinan offers a very similar mod and claims to add 7hp. It basically increases airflow into the engine by a lot.

Very nice and clean looking! BTW, i noticed you had installed carbon fiber lips. No need to be modest, where'd you get em and how much? BTW, guys, i live in NY, and grew, we have been prone to flooding lately. I'd love to do this mod but would like a way to be able to close it in the winter, any suggestions? @apex: nice mod, i think I'm gonna do it.

Got them at ebay for around a 100 bucks. They are China CF quality. Not too bad. If youre interested in getting a CF spoiler and/or mirror caps, definitely buy BMW. To answer your question about the ram air, in my case, I can disconnect the hose from the air box easily if its raining since it is not glued together. Having said that, its not a good idea to drive through flooded areas even with the stock intake.
