adding subs and amp in trunk

I am adding 2 jl 12" w3v3 in the trunk of my e90 along with a 500/1 amp and I have logic 7

I am going to order the technic harness (how much does this help the install?)

Non i-drive

After I have all these materials can anyone direct me to a DIY on how to do all the wiring needed? I am pretty much new at car audio as I have always had systems installed for me...any help would be greatly appreciated

You need to identify your stereo system

It will be one of three types and has nothing to do with whats printed on the Head Unit.

I have been pm'ing technic and he stated that on the e90 if you have speakers in your rear doors it means you have logic 7..is this correct?

That's probably not what he meant. Check the links ctuna provided.

You need to state the year and model of your car

If you have tweeters in the door sills you have either Hi Fi or Logic 7.

Logic 7 has a center speaker in the dash , equalizer controls in the radio
menus and the rest of the specs as described in the documents provided.
Hi Fi does not have a center speaker in the dash the space between the
vent holes on the dash is solid plastic(as opposed to a grill) and only has simple bass and treble controls in the radio and no logic 7 options.

The old Logic 7 has 13 speaker the old Hi Fi has 10 I believe speakers in the rear or rear doors are dependent on if you have a coupe or sedan/wagon.

I clicked the links ctuna provided and it just says attachment not found...but I do have the grille in the middle of the dash and all the equalizer controls on the radio so I guess that means I do have logic 7? so since I do have the logic 7 is all I am going to need the technic harness, my subs, my amp? also DIY for how to use the technic harness and anything else needed for my install?

Buy the harness from Technic and he will give you all that info.

That's what it is...

Logic7:

- speakers in the rear doors = E90
- speakers in the rear shelf = E92
