Euro. Delivery 335i Convertible for $1G over invoice in New York City(or Philly)area?

Has anyone managed to get a European Delivery 335i for anywhere around $1,000 over invoice? $1,500? I spoke with one dealer, when picking up a regular delivery 535xi ($1,400 over invoice, but it was a company lease and an extra $10/month wasn't worth fighting for), and he told me that "convertibles are in demand, so we sell them for a little off MSRP. I could sell an ED car for a little off ED MSRP." He was a nice guy, and I don't blame him for trying to make a buck, but European Delivery is just pure profit for a dealer as it has no impact on their allotment. Has anyone gotten a decent deal on a Euro Delivery 335i convertible in the New York City area? How about Philly? My job's relocating down there so I could always pick it up down there. (The family's staying in NY, so I'm indifferent as to location.) I'm looking for delivery at the end of May, so I've still got a little time. Thanks.

Thanks. Do I need to go pick the car up in Chicago, though? I've heard of dealers charging $500-$1000 for "prep fees" for European Delivery cars brought to their location, but bought from another dealer. Even if that's the case, it may be worth it. (Or buying a one way ticket to Chicago, but I think that trip could add up to $500-$1000 pretty quickly.) I'll shoot him an email.

I'm going to chicago in a week or so
$99 flight (with Jetblue) and 12 hr drive back home
I'm ok with that
There is also possibility to pick it up from PDC in South Carolina, but it might take couple of weeks longer
For me: ED + Chicago pickup seamed like the best way to save time and $$

Cool, thanks. Don't get any tickets on the way home.

I'll try not to, thanks
This is why I said 12hrs, not 10

It is so hard to keep this car under speed limit though, especially after you get to drive on German autobahn (155mph)
