Sirius & HD Radio - dealer installed?
I'm curious if I can get these added on to my custom order if my car is already in transit? If these are factory options only, then I'm guessing it would not be worth the cost at this point.
Anyone know? |

I believe sirius can be installed but not hd radio. There is no hd radio retrofit kit. I'm sure someone else can confirm.

Thanks for the responses guys. I am interested in getting Sirius because of the lifetime subscription that some of our forum members have been receiving.
Is Sirius still offering lifetime subscriptions? |

From what I've read, some have been lucky to have lifetime but that's not what's included. The sirius add-on includes 1-yr. So not sure.

why not post for others, as well? I'd be interested in adding HD as it was too late after ordering when I decided I wanted it.

You do know "lifetime subscription" doesn't exactly last you a lifetime.
SUBSCRIBE FOR THE LIFETIME OF YOUR RADIO Pay $499.99 once and forget about those monthly bills. Plus, if you act soon, you can transfer your lifetime subscription to a different SIRIUS Radio when you upgrade or replace your radio — up to three times — for only $75 per radio. Offer ends January 31, 2008 They don't care why you transfer a radio. A tuner breaks whatever that counts. Get a new car, that counts. So you better watch out. That $499.99 isn't a flat rate. It's $499.99(up front) + 75.00 + 75.00 + 75.00 = 724.99. After that, you gotta start all over cuz you just ended your "lifetime" subscription. It can and can't be worth it. Depends on how often you switch cars and if you have crappy luck with electronics. My brothers had 2 tuners break on him already. I've used 2 myself. I left my first tuner in my previous car, the buyer wanted it.

BTW - right now they're running a special on the lifetime - $399. I just signed up for my my wife's car (w/ OEM Sirius) since she'll have it for the next 30 months. That alone will cover the cost of the lifetime for me - the next three cars will be gravy
Like darkcloud said it can & can't be worth it - just work out the numbers prior to committing.
