^ Tijuana Grand Prix winner right there.

Quote:

I got dibs for blue group. If someone else wants this but is blue too, I'd be comfortable moving to black to make room.

I cannot say for sure with Speed Ventures, but my experience with every other club is that you must your parents or Guardian sign a Minor Waiver form. That "Should" be the case for both driving and being on site as a spectator.

You should contact the Organizers regarding that question.

This will be my first time at Fontana so i thought i'd ask you guys thats been there before.

I usually tape up my front end at tracks like Willow Springs where their are gravel and decent sized rocks all over the track. But from what i hear, Auto Club is a very clean and well preped track. Is it safe to go untaped (yes i should have gotten a clear bra )? I am by no means anal about my paint since i have plenty of rock chips from daily driving, but i also dont want a huge gash on my front end.

No track is safe from debris. I would tape it up if you are concerned about the finish on your car.

Update:

Those who purchased the garage can pit together. There is no free garage.

Basically, this event will meet capacity, so SV is not looking to give away anything to get more people to sign up, but will keep us in mind on the next event.

if you're an e90post.com member but didnt get $10 off when signed up, you'll get a free garage like I did if you email Dave about it. his email is dave@speedventures.com
btw, what time do you guys usually arrive there?

It's official, I just registered for the Cal Speedway event and I will be bringing my JP Racecar.

I'm already booked to do some instructing for Satakal, so I still have some availablitly to Instruct. If not, I may do some instructing for SpeedVentures so I can get the Instructor discount.

Either way I'll be there with the racecar, so if people want to get some rides, bring your Brain Buckets.

here's part of their lit:

Quote:
4). Please show up at the track by 6:45am and go straight to Registration in Garage 2 (G2), the second garage, to check in. Please check in BEFORE unloading or working on your car. Check-in will close at 7:45 and the Drivers' Meeting will begin immediately at 7:45am in the Drivers Lounge (also in G2). The Drivers Meeting is mandatory for all drivers - unless you have received clearance from Speed Ventures to show up late.
Additionally, the sooner you arrive, the sooner you can meet your instructor and hopefully ride passenger (hopefully with him) before you ever get out on track.

Matt, are you there Sat + Sun? Or just Sat?

That is weird. I emailed Dave with everyone's info and he never replied.... I guess he just automatically gave either a $10 off or free garage.

I plan to secure the second row of garages as you enter the garage area. Not the ones facing the fuel pumps, but the ones immidiately behind them.

yeah, lots will be running a similar setup. Just remember, you're there to learn, not to take video.

You're running a jam nut up top right? 10-24?

just trying to help. Good ingenuity. More experienced guys will have better input, but I think the most important thing to capture is your hands relative to the road. If you don't capture your hands, we won't be able to help that much. That said... all we'll say is "look farther ahead". "Learn the track better". "Unwind the wheel more at track out". "You apex too early."

It's actually recommended to not use Anti Shake. Those things are meant for someones hand shaking, not the vibrations and motions of a car. They tend to actually make the video worse by over correcting and causing more video movement.

Try it either way you want.

Just crawled out from under the car. Finished swapping in the Cal Speedway Gearset. Now I can clear 132 without bouncing off the rev limiter in 5th.
