There are valid reasons on both sides of the coin here; it's not just all about who's paying for this but why you would want to do this in the first place. OP, you opened yourself up for these questions by posting. It does no good for you to go screaming at everyone to read the thread. |

If insurance covered this than i'd be all over it. It's not about being a "poser," it's about creating a great looking ride. I respect the amount of work that's going into this project. Hope it turns out sweet

If a guy w/ a Civic decided to put an Integra front end on his car, we'd be calling him a "ricer" and ragging on him incessantly. What makes this any different? This to me is just as bad, no, actually even worse, than putting M badges all over a stock 335.
I'm not digging this conversion - sorry. |

Looks good so far.
Alot of people will hate on you b/c of what you are doing. It opens you up to criticism when posting a thread like this. Just ignore them. What I would have done, is wait until it is ALL done, then post a diary of what you did. Once people see that you are not just trying to recreate an M3, but instead give your car your own spin on modding---people would be more willing to accept your efforts. But this requires that you do some things to this car that are your own, and represent your taste. Unless of course, you leave it EXACTLY like a stock M3 with badges, wheels, etc. Then get ready for more flaming.

I think thats awesome what he is doing, and you should just worry about your own ride instead of the others, if he wants to make it look like a M3 thats he's taste, I personally take the twin turbo vs the V8 at the end, maintenance will be cheaper...

I personally think you're an idiot... If I want to worry about my own car I wouldn't post up on here. I would just do whatever I want to do to the car and not share with any of you. But I do post here and so did the OP so as far as I am concerned, he opened his project to criticism. I do him for being unique I am always + for uniqueness but it is just not my cup of tea.

So it's ok that you offer an opinion in support but not ok for those that don't support his work to offer an opinion? Come again? He opened himself up for all kinds of opinions by posting on this forum. He's going to have to live with people's reactions, regardless of what they may be.

See attached. This one is the real poser here! I just laugh at this everytime I see it. This picture was taken by another guy here. Anyways this pictures/thread is about my friend's 335. I'm happy with mine, I even still have my 325 badge on it with the 335 exhaust. But I would do it if I had the opportunity. Thanks for the comments. I still owe you guys the video of my exaust, haven't had a chance to do it. |

^^^Panoz, always loved the look of your coupe.
IMO I would have just threw on a full Mtech kit. The 3series/335 looks incredible with it on and you rarely see it around. I just don't see the point of converting it into an M3 when it isn't one. But anyways, keep us posted on the outcome. At least this will be a good reference thread for someone else wanting to do the conversion later in the future.
