I don't see what is the problem here. The owner decided to change the car looks... not the performance. Also, who wants to by an M3 in P.R. when cost 40% over the MSRP....$100,000 thats nuts. I buy first the C63 instead is cheaper and a better car by far. My .02 for the looks go all the way, the car will looks more aggressive. Enjoy the project!

wow, seems like a hell of a project, free too! I think it will look pretty nice given the fact that he doesnt add the M3 badges etc... I love how wide the rear fenders are on the M3 compared to our 335i's..

Wow a bunch of you guys are dumbasses. Whats a reason for him to have to drop a V8 in there. And all those stupid comments just show how ignorant you guys are. Come on, why post a picture of a random car with an M badge in the back. It has NOTHING to do with this thread. It's not like this guy put an M3 badge on his trunk.
Same thing when one guy puts a dual exhaust on his 325/328/330. Everyone attacks him and says he's a 335i poser. It's not like he put a 335i badge on the trunk, now did he? If it makes your miserable lives better by making stupid comments go ahead.

It's your car, do whatever the hell you want! I think it's going to look SICK once it's finished. I'd do the same if my insurance pays for all that good stuffs.

Someone needs to close this thread....
People who thinking adding a Mtech kit to their 335i is different from doing a M3 front end conversion to their 335i need a reality check. It's the same underlying concept anyway you spin it. |

The OP did not share this project to look for bursts of 'mod morality' by people who profess to have plenty.
He's sharing a technical and academic exercise project which we should and could appreciate as an enthusiast community. There is much to learn as the OP (and others who have embarked on a similar project) can offer. For e.g. we have already learnt from him that the radiator supports and fender mounts are different. As do the washer fluid resevoir. If no one here have dared to push the envelope we wouldn't have seen awesome and memorable cars like magmd's e90.2 for e.g. Projects like this is what put this community on the map. So can we give him some breathing space so he can go forth with his project diary...

I think that's why most of us are here, and not to insult each other. I see a lot of mods here that are not my style, but I don't say a thing. I'm sorry for using the "read the thread" emoticon I didn't use it thinking you guys were going to take it as a scream. One buys a new bimmer and first thing most of us do is look for a similar cars with different rims to here to see how the car would look. Now I'm sharing info with others to maybe make their life easier when they get ready to do it, or maybe change their minds and not do it since this one is so expensive and complicated. Next week I'll get some pictures of the progress. Ah! and by the way, this is how I got the 335 exhaust for my 325, because of this oil spill . If it wasn't because of this I would've never done it. I spent about $350 on the parts + $150 for the muffler shop. |

sounds to me like a lot of you guys are just haters because you cant afford to do a kit like that. If he runs around with M3 badges and telling everyone its an M3 than he is a douche and deserves all of this. But he isnt and I dont think he is going to so why dont you guys get a life and stop acting like females and little bitches |

I would rather rob the M3 parts bin for performance parts, you know, the stuff that actually makes a difference like bushings and suspension bits. The only reason for doing this is to lead others to believe it is something it's not. Oh wait I'm posing an M3 spoiler - nevermind. Really, the objective of modifying your car is to create something that makes you happy - which is fine. Just know that, like running around as a man wearing women's clothing you will encounter others that don't agree with your tastes and are likely to let you know it.

people putting him down, get off his back. His car, unique project. I would choose an M3 with an N54 any day over the S65 just because you can tune it so easily....but looks wise, m3 wins.
