Check Engine Soon light / Rough Idle

So I have an oil filter housing gasket leak that I've meaning to take care of sooner than later - bad leaking. I purchased all the necessary parts and was looking to get it done this weekend, but I couldn't get to it due to the bad weather. And NOW just today the Check Engine Soon light came with some rough idle and stumble came with it too. The last time I had this rough idle and stumble I had to change a spark plug and coil. However, I'm thinking some oil got in somewhere and is causing the stumble.

Anyone have experience in this area?

Thanks the reply. I just want to make sure it's not associated with the oil filter housing gasket leak.

Turns out I do have an ignition coil that needs to be replaced, and I also have a vacuum leak (something with the valve gasket cover).

Luckily for me, I'm in California, which the state requires BMW to offer an emissions warranty for up 150,000 miles. So all repairs should be covered. This work would've costed me well over $1,500.
