Is it normal for on a 335i 2009 coupe the shifter to be basically a vibrator

I think they sell less crude smaller ones. Not that I'd particularly know though.
oh I drive the auto, and mine does not seam to vibrate. Is there some way to make it do that now that I think of it?

haha i saw these answers coming but seriously guys.. manual owners!.. isnt it supposed to just sit there smooth or are u supposed to see and feel it shaking
