I have a bit of a decision to make..

I have a winter car that I can use, but I would still need to buy winter tires that would cost me around $800. I was going to go this route because insuring it and buying the winter tires was still cheaper than buying winters for the Bimmer.

But, just now I found 2 sets of Blizzaks one set is 245/40/R19 and the other set 225/40/R19. both sets of 4 selling for $800. Which one is a better fit for the 313?

My car is lowered with H&R sport springs and I am so hesitant to store it because I am just leasing it and I really doubt that I'll be keeping it after the lease. I don't want to be making lease payments and not driving the thing!

Anyone drive lowered cars and 19's in the winter?

Any advice would be helpful...

Oh and I still need to get summer tires because those are shot anyway!!!

Sounds like a bad idea IMO.

If I were you I'd find a cheap set of 17" winter wheels/tires. You can always sell them when your lease is up and probably have very little total cost. Winter tires for 19" wheels are very expensive. I agree that if its a lease you should drive it instead of store it for the winter though.

^ +1, i would maybe try to find a set of used 18 or 17" winter tires/wheels ... but if you are determined to go with tires for 19" then go with the 225. narrower is better in snow.
