Anyone wants to meet up at the Art Gallery downtown and start a rally? I've got some bald rear tires on my 335d that we can start a fire with, hahaha

yes... sometimes I think communist China is a more democratic country (as long as you don't go against the government) as in having more free choice.

I dislike the government, and the assholes that come up with these idiotic laws(which are nothing more than a cash grab)... if they want more fucking cash, they should give out special speeding permits at $2,000 a pop, that will allow you to go 160km/h on the highway, this way you can still go fast without having an asshole cop(Tax collector) stop you.

no, new laws don't come in effect in BC till Sept 20, but he was doing 120 in a 80 zone in a S2K

he said the ticket was like $6xx, plus points deduction

this is BS. I agree for residential and school zones but even on the highways ?Cars these days stop and handle ten times better than the cars in the 70's when these speeding limits were introduced.

Got to love the municipal government! I mean, Toronto has the stunt driving thing when driving 50 km/k over and it just boosted the paralegal business as they can now say that the law is unconstitutional and they can get the offenders off some of the repercussions but the insurance system there will eat you alive for 5 years after the event. Now Vancouver saw the cash grab here we go!
Wow, did the Ontario liberals move to BC?!?

That blows.

Once again the punishment is the process because even if you fight the ticket successfully you will have already endured the punishment. I think that eventually someone will challenge this undue process of justice and win.

Just my 2 cents.....

I'm ok with the law, maybe its because I'm getting old but I really dont need to be doing 140km/hr on the highway.....

Also everyone here is ranting about the HST......I really dont think its a big deal.
For example I go to crappy tire to buy Meguiars wax guess what I had to pay 12% before the HST and now I'm still paying 12%.

Also if all you guys can afford to have BMW's then you all obviously are doing very well for yourselves so the difference is insignificant. I personally have not noticed any change in my expenses.

I have done very well under the liberals rule (I work construction) so Sea to Sky, Skytrain, Port Mann its all good to me.

On the serious side... OUCH... I hope this doesn't spill into Ontario. On the bright side Radar detectors & Lidar jammers are legal in BC

time to invest in good radar detectors and jammers ...

i cant believe the crazy ontario laws are spreading all over canada... i am curious to know if ontario has solid stats on whether or not their street racing law actually reduced fatal accidents over the past few years.
