Have you guys tried flipping them around in the housings? If so, they could just be defective bulbs and your vendor should help you with replacement units. If you have trouble sourcing replacements, let me know and I can alert Bimmian of the issue for you.

the dome lights and map lights work while the car is off. but once you turn on the car, they stay on for a few seconds and then turn off and dont turn back on again. i dont think flipping them around would work..

The bottom interior lights located in the front, vanity lights on the visors were fine, compartment lights were fine, and trunk lights were fine.

so pretty much my only problem are the upper dome lights and map lights. did anyone else have this problem? or can somebody tell me whats wrong?

thanks
Welcome to my world. I'm having the exact same problem. I've been waiting for a fix since March. Bimmian has been pretty good to me. They sent me replacements to try. Unfortunately the replacements didn't work either. After that, they sent me a set of their Xenon bulbs. They seem to work fine, with the exception of the license plate bulbs. One of them stopped working after a few weeks. (I thought the Xenon bulbs were tested and guaranteed to work???)

The way I look at it. It's a gamble. Apparently some peoples cars work fine and others have the problem. After market LED technology for E90/92 is still not proven for our cars. I'm sure in time, it will be a blessing!!!!

Nobody sells the regular LED's anymore. They are all the high powered ones. You can get the regular xenon gas bulbs (not LED's) from bimmian. Tell them about the dome light & map light problem and they should mail you a set of the bulbs.

oh ok so should i just replace the dome and map lights with the xenon bulbs and leave all the other High Powered LED ones that work alone?

or just exchange all the high powered LEDs with the regular xenon bulbs?

i believe **********s is giving me the option of just replacing the dome and map lights..not sure im still waiting for their call back.

That's what I did. The front and back map lights are xenons. Everything else is LED and looks great. Now I wish I could something about my burnt out license plate bulb.

sounds good mark.

i was wondering, is it just your map lights that were replaced or was it both the dome and map lights that are now xenon's (total of 6 peanut bulbs)?

i just got off the phone with **********s and they are doing the same for my situation. they are giving me the regular xenon bulbs in replacement for the high powered bulbs that go into the dome and map lights (front and rear). so i am going to be getting 6 xenon peanut bulbs.

i cant wait. hopefully they look as nice as the high powered ones when they all worked.

I replaced all 6. They are not as nice and bright as the LED's, but they should tide you over. I don't see a fix coming anytime soon. Bimmian's owner has no access to a car for troubleshooting purposes. He decided it wasn't worth his time to come down to see me.

In the meantime, let's have a round of applause for Jason at Tischer. Simply the greatest for all your BMW parts and accessories.

Yeah, i don't see a fix coming anytime soon either. Either way, i was happy with the fact the sent me the xenon bulb replacements. I still love the way the car looks with all the other LED's.

That's correct, for those that don't have the dome lights or any lights not working with the high-powered LEDs, please let me know or call us at ************** and we'll get that replaced for you as a manufacturer defect.

Xenon interior... worst bulbs ever.
You can find high power leds that fit your car on ebay for half the price any BMW vendor is selling it for.

I got v2 trunk plate leds (errorless) for 8$ compared to 30$ from a vendor.

I'm ordering these. If they work and don't throw any errors, then I'll be sending the bimmian LED's back to them. I'll will keep everyone posted on the results.

What are you using for interior LEDs? I talking about the 6 map and dome lights.

jlevi's V2 license plate LED lights are excellent. just thrown that out there. So far, when my lights arent on, it throws up a error code. But once i turn my lights on, it goes out.

I don't want any error codes period. I've ordered the ones off ebay and I will report how they work.
