Power washer on wheels - safe?

Is it safe for me to use 1300 psi power washer to remove most of brake dust from wheels? No soap, no wheel cleaner. Just the high-pressure water.

+1 I wouldn't either. Just get down and dirty and hand wash the wheels to get all the dirt out.

I'm sure it wouldn't really hurt the wheels if the pressure wasn't too high, but it's not really worth any risk of any paint chipping or anything else.

I did that on the wheels of my 92 Nissan SE-R,and it peeled some of the finish off. These were stock wheels,so i would not recommend it at all.

I detailed cars during my teen years and we would spray a multi-purpose cleaner on the wheels and than power wash the dirt/brake dust off. I'm not sure how much pressure was being used, but it was an industrial power washer and it never peeled or chipped and of the paint off. Now on the bumpers...thats a different story.
