Rear Passenger Wheel Gap Less Than Driver Side
Hi everyone,
The other day I was walking towards my car from the rear and noticed that the passenger rear was lower than the right. It looks like the rear driver side is almost 1-inch higher. I got home, measured again and it looked fine. I noticed again this morning that it is off again...am I going crazy or do the e92's have some sort of auto levelling? The gas tank level didn't change much. I searched but didn't find any definitive posts. Thanks! |

Were you parked on a flat surface? One side of my driveway makes the passenger wheel gap noticeable larger and the other side makes the drivers side noticeable larger.

There's been a few threads on this. The suspension is set up so that when the driver is in the car his/her weight will level it out. That is why the driver's side sits a little higher when there is no one in the car.

I have the same problem with the AC Schnitzer Sport Suspension system fitted recently to my right-hand drive E92 where the front passenger side is 10mm higher than the driver's side; this is exactly the problem that I had before the installation with the stock sport suspension.
After querying this with AC Schnitzer, I have received the following response via email, "My best advice would be to enjoy the improvement in the car and to put this minor visual niggle out of your mind". |

I just figure that sometimes you might think you're on level ground when you're really not. It might be even, but it's slightly slanted one direction. That's the only explanation I can think of for why the wheel gap would sometimes be on different sides of the car...
